Yankee Candle In A Winter Wonderland is a new scent for the Winter Holiday Christmas 2017 season. Yankee came out with a Winter Wonderland candle in 2014 but the 2017 version is a different scent.
The 2014 Winter Wonderland candle was a balsam and orange fragrance.
Yankee Candle In A Winter Wonderland for 2017 smells like a smooth pine with a slight cedar undertone as base. The pine note is layered with a fairly generic berry note, some eucalyptus and ozone. The ozone note is what makes this candle special I think. It’s not a note that I’ve seen a lot in winter fragrances. Ozone is normally used in “storm” and “rain” type scents so it’s very refreshing to find this version of the note in a pine based scented candle.
It’s a nice scent, I do wish the fruit note would be better and stronger. The vague berry scent just annoys me, for a Yankee Candle price I want something that smells like the real thing, not a cheap smelling berry note I can find in a dollar store scented candle.
The scent throw on this is better than it was on Build a Snowman. I’d give this a solid 6, so it will scent a medium sized room but it will struggle in larger rooms.
I hope you enjoyed my Yankee Candle In A Winter Wonderland review.
