Yankee Candle Wild Fig scented candle was a part of the Indian Summer collection that included Amber Moon, Honey Glow and Ginger Dusk. I’m a big fan of fig note in fragrance and quite a bit of the perfumes in my rather large perfume collection include a fig note. I’ve smelled the Diptyque Figuier scented candle at my friends house a couple of times and loved that scent but Diptyque candles are normally too expensive for me so I’ve been waiting for Yankee Candle to do a fig scented candle and finally they came out with Yankee Candle Wild Fig.
The notes in Yankee Candle Wild Fig: ripe fig.
This is not really in the same fig vein as the Diptyque Figuier scent. The Diptyque Figuier has the leaves note and a woody scent to go with the fig. Yankee Candle Wild Fig is pure fruit. There are no green notes, just the juiciness of the fig fruit and maybe a hint of nutmeg to warm it up. It’s not artificially sweet and it has that freshness of the actual fig. Great and true to life fig scented candle.
My small jar version of Yankee Candle Wild Fig burns clean and even, I get a nice wax pool after about an hour and the throw is about 8. I burn Yankee Candle Wild Fig in my kitchen when the weather gets cold and mostly during winter. There aren’t many fruit scented candles that are perfect for winter but Yankee Candle Wild Fig is it.
