Yankee Candle Vanilla Satin is my Mum’s staple. My Dad really dislikes all things home fragrance so my Mum has to really pick out the most inoffensive, lovely scents she can find to avoid complaining. Vanilla Satin is exactly that type of smell. I can’t imagine anyone disliking it. It’s warm and pretty and it makes a great gift candle as well.
The official notes in Yankee Candle Vanilla Satin are: vanilla, flowers, sandalwood.
It’s a unique twist on your standard vanilla scented candle. Now I’ve smelled and burned a ton of the usual supermarket vanilla candles because… it’s vanilla and why pay Yankee process for a vanilla scent? Vanilla Satin is quite a different version of a vanilla candle. I get quite a lot of sandalwood and almost none of the sweetness you usually expect in a vanilla fragrance. It’s like your little vanilla has grown up and is dressed in a Yankee Candle jar. The floral notes paired with the non sugared vanilla are interesting on their own but when you get the sandalwood mix it just warms it up and makes it sexy. Really good scent, most guys I know like it as well.

I’ve tried this scent in tart form and my Mum has gone through several medium jars of Vanilla Satin. The wax pools in about two hours in a hurricane candle holder and the scent throw is a 6. It’s a good living room scent and if I burned candles in my bedroom (which I don’t) I’d probably pick this one first. I melt half a tart at a time and my living room gets scented in about 15 minutes. The throw on the tart is a weak 8.
