Yankee Candle Spiced Pear scented candle Review; returning fragrance

I love the scent of pears and I know most people vastly prefer the scent of apples and that’s why there are so so so many apple scented candles and so few pear scented ones. I jumped on Yankee Candle Spiced Pear when I saw it was back as a treasure and I’m so happy with it!

Official scent notes in Yankee Candle Spiced Pear are: pears, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla bean.

So the base is a nice spiced pear compote scent but then that vanilla bean base note elevates it and makes it sweeter, softer and well balanced.

My father in law has a huge pear tree in his orchard that is very early and gets ripe pears in the beginning of August. As soon as they start to get that honeyed flavor he loads up his truck and brings us three huge cases of them. They don’t do that well in the freezer and no one (but me) in my family is a massive pear marmalade fan so for about two weeks a year, I go pear crazy and we eat them daily. I cook them, make fruit salads, strudels, pies, mix them with carrots and peaches and make delicious juice…you name it, I’ve done it. My whole house will smell like pears.

Yankee Candle Spiced Pear is just one of those scents that brings up this intense scent memory of a summer, pear filled week when my whole family fake groans about me loosing my marbles and sticking pears into their pea soups.

The scent throw on my large jar of Yankee Candle Spiced Pear is about an 8. It varied a bit as I was burning it, alternating between a strong 8 and a weak 7, but overall, it threw well.

This will mix well with any and all apple scents, you can add a bakery note and get an amazing pear pie fragrance, it will work well with a bakery vanilla as well, if you feel like dilluting the fruit aspect or add Yankee’s Summer Peach to amp up the fruitiness.

I hope you enjoyed my Yankee Candle Spiced Pear scented candle Review and I’ll talk to you soon!
