Both Yankee Candle Pomegranate Fruit and Yankee Candle Black Raspberry are currently available everywhere in large jars. I’ve never had any of these before but I have burned Yankee’s Pomegranate Cider and I liked their pomegranate note in that.

There’s nothing surprising about these two scents. You pretty much get what you’d expect from the name and the label.
Yankee Candle Pomegranate Fruit has a nice pomegranate note in it, but it’s somewhat drowned out by cranberry and plum, making the overall fragrance more like a berry fruit punch. It doesn’t have a lot of added sweetness and the tartness of pomegranate is there, but you kind of need to know what to look for to get it.
Yankee Candle Black Raspberry is pure warm raspberry. It’s the exact scent of cooking raspberry jam, before all the sugar gets thrown in or a tart raspberry pie filling. Really nice take on a raspberry note, not a candied raspberry in sight here, just real, summer raspberries.
These two work well together, but I love layering Yankee Candle Black Raspberry with Kringle’s Vanilla Cone or Yankee’s Chocolate Layer Cake or Goose Creek Warm Wishes. It works great mixed with Sweet Strawberry as well and any cinnamon spice fall candle, that needs a bit of fruity freshness to liven it up.
Between the two, I prefer Yankee Candle Black Raspberry, because while it’s only one note, it’s done really well and you can make a bunch of amazing scents by layering it. Pomegranate Fruit is a bit meh, there’s loads of better fruit punch candles from Yankee.
