Yankee Candle Ginger Spice Cookie is one of the best cookie scents that Yankee has. It comes back as a Favorite every few years and just a perfect scent for early fall.

Official scent notes in Yankee Candle Ginger Spice Cookie are: ginger and brown sugar.
The thing with cookie scents is, that when they load them up with brown sugar note, they can often pull into the unfortunate burning brown sugar territory, which I can’t stand. Yankee Candle Ginger Spice Cookie luckily manages to keep loads of that brown sugar, cookie batter goodness but escapes the burned undertone. It only has a bakery ginger mixed in here and some cloves. I don’t get any butter, no vanilla or cinnamon. Just plain brown sugar cookies with soft ginger and cloves. Quite simple, but lovely.
As for layering, it will layer well over cinnamon spice candles that you find to intense because of the red hot cinnamon note. It also goes well with apple fragrances and I’ve tried it with Yankee’s Honey Clementine and loved it.
The scent throw on my large jar of Yankee Candle Ginger Spice Cookie is a medium 7.
