Yankee Candle Frosty Gingerbread is my first Holiday 2018 fragrance I have burning in the kichen for this christmas season.
I’m a tad behind this year. I usually test out holiday scents in early autumn so that I’m decided on holiday fragrances way in advance but this year I’ll just burn as I go and if I get something I don’t love, I’ll make it work by blending and layering.
Yankee Candle Frosty Gingerbread smells like a baked gingerbread cookie with more cinnamon than ginger. There are all the spices you want in a gingerbread but the cinnamon is the strongest. I also smell the sugar frosting which is a really nice touch since a fragrance like gingerbread can easily overpower more delicate notes. This is a well balanced fragrance though, the spice is mellow enough to allow the frosting through and to stay guest friendly even after several hours burning. I tend to have at least two gingerbread scents per holiday season and they can get too much for people that are highly sensitive to fragrance. I don’t feel like that is a worry with Yankee Candle Frosty Gingerbread.
The scent throw is very good, a solid 8.
Yankee Candle Frosty Gingerbread is also a great candle to layer with. It works with all cookie, sugared vanilla scents, it works with so many tea nad coffee notes, I even like it with a light pine candle.
I hope you enjoyed my Yankee Candle Frosty Gingerbread Holiday 2018 review!
