Yankee Candle Fireside scented candle Review

Yankee Candle Fireside is in online EU Yankee stores right now as a Treasure or rather a Yankee Candle Special Appearance candle which means it’s only available in a large jar.

I was all out of large jar scented candles and I felt like splurging so I hauled a lot of the special appearance candles. I burned Fireside for about 6 hours yesterday evening and night and I decided it’s just not my kind of scent so it’s currently looking for a new home and will probably end up in my brother’s living room since he’s usually a fan of these types of scents. My brother is one of those guys who’ll never ever buy a scented candle because he claims it’s literally like burning money but whenever he gets one as a present, he’s the happiest dude around and will burn it daily. I’ve had to listen to my share of his opinions on my candle burning and as a show of sibling love I never buy him a scented candle specifically, but he gets a lot of the ones I don’t like because that way I can pretend I refuse to give him “good” candles and he can pretend he’s doing me a favor by taking them off my hands. It’s a very mature relationship we have there.

The official notes in Yankee Candle Fireside are: Cozy and rustic . . . the scent of a warm, crackling wood fire.

Now, I live in the country, specifically on the moors, I’ve burned my share of little campfires, I’ve done the campfire at the beach thing a lot, and we have this national thing every May where all over the country we build these enormous wood piles and them light ‘em up and…use that as a excuse to get pretty drunk. I know what a wood fire smells like, is what I’m saying. Yankee Candle Fireside does not smell like wood fire. There’s no woodsy note, there’s a smoky note though. But the smoky note is more like the smoky scent you get in a church during Midnight Mass. It’s a weird smell, I get sort of Church type incense, some smoke and a lot of men’s cologne, but not the fancy kind. If I had to describe it as an experience rather than a fragrance, Yankee Candle Fireside smells like sitting in a coldish church during midnight Mass next to your elderly male neighbor who went a tad overboard with his Old Spice cologne he got from his grandkids 5 years ago. It’s not horrible but I don’t want my house to smell like that.

I’ve been burning Yankee Candle Fireside in a large jar in my hurricane holder and it burned with no issues. The scent throw was a solid 7. I burned it in my main hall in the evening since it’s not a day scent to me and got a nice wax pool after about three hours.

I hope you enjoyed my Yankee Candle Fireside scented candle Review and I’ll talk to you soon!
