Yankee Candle Cranberry Peppermint is currently available returning favorite on the website, so you can only get a large jar version of it. I am usually not generally a fan of Yankee’s take on the cranberry note and this is no exception.
The official scent notes in Yankee Candle Cranberry Peppermint are: cranberry, raspberry, peppermint, spearmint, wintergreen, musk, vanilla mint cream.
So yeah, a pretty straight forward fragrance. While I like what they did with the peppermint here – it’s sweet but not overly candy like – the cranberry reads like a fake berry scent to me. It’s like a really expensive and luxurious peppermint paired with a rather cheap fruit scent. They didn’t do anything new to the cranberry note, it’s just because there are no spices or other notes added, and the mint is so fresh, it really highlights the synthetic feeling of it.
I get a bit of a creamy vanilla note that helps the overall scent and I’m generally a fan of mint and vanilla so this base works well for me it’s just the fruit note I have an issue with.
If you loved Yankee’s Jack Frost and don’t mind their cranberry scents, you’ll like this too.
