There was a lot of clamoring in the wax community when Yankee Candle released their Holiday 2016 collection. People were saying it’s more of a New Year’s Celebration type collection and not really Christmassy, cozy and homey. There were no bakery and dessert fragrances and it all went more towards a festive drinks, cocktail party theme.
Yankee compensated all of that by releasing another collection in time for Holiday season, called Yankee Candle Cookie Swap Collection. This is all dessert, all bakery fragrances collection so if those scents give you the right kind of Christmas vibe, you have a huge selection here.
Yankee Candle Cookie Swap Collection consists of 6 new scents, all dessert themed. For initial burns from the early shoppers in the wax community, the consensus is that Merry Berry Linzer is the strongest of the bunch.
The candles in the Yankee Candle Cookie Swap Collection are:
All of these come in either large jars, small tumblers or melt cups. As you know, melt cups are a sure way to get a fully scented house. They are way too strong for my nose but for people who feel the candles are too light, the melt cups are definitely the way to go. I’ll probably go with the jars, since I don’t care for the look of the tumblers and I really want to try the new scents but I do wish there were smaller options like tarts or votives that would allow me to try the fragrance before committing to a large jar but I’ll be doing a review soon.
For the 2017 Holiday season, Yankee Candle just added two new scents to the Cookie Swap Collection:
The new 2017 Cookie swap collection additions are:
Yankee Candle Lemon Drop Cookie
Yankee Candle Fresh Baked Apple Cake Cup
