This is my Yankee Candle Autumn Gathering scented candle Review.
I bought Yankee Candle Autumn Gathering because I always want to try ALL new scents, not just the ones I suspect I might like. I figure things can get boring fast if you only stick to stuff you know, especially since I go through so much wax. I didn’t expect to enjoy this one based on the scent description and it really didn’t make me like patchouli but I ended up liking it better than I expected.

The official description from Yankee lists the notes as harvest fruit, patchouli and sandalwood.
Burning Yankee Candle Autumn Gathering, it’s a masculine scent. It’s not overly cologne-like but the sandalwood and patchouli base do give it a perfume feel. It’s pretty heady and I’d say the dominant note is actually rose. It’s quite a heavy rose note and when paired with the bottom patchouli it turns out very dark and interesting. I don’t know about the fruit notes though. It’s supposed to be apple and pear but I can’t really get either. There is something that freshens up the overall fragrance but it’s so blended I can’t pick out the specifics.
I mixed it with Yankee Candle Honey Blossom and it worked so well. It brought Autumn Gathering up a bit and added some sweetness. I really enjoyed the mix, much more that Yankee Candle Autumn Gathering on its own.
Since the apple was missing, I layered it with Yankee Sweet Apple to see what happens and it worked OK. If you find Autumn Gathering too heavy and perfumey, adding an apple note will definitely improve it.
I have yet to try it, but I think it would work well layered with a smoky fragrance as well.
The scent throw on a small jar is about a 5. It’s fine if you want to only scent an area of a room or if you plan on mixing it with other things.
I hope you enjoyed my Yankee Candle Autumn Gathering scented candle Review and I’ll talk to you soon!
