Yankee Candle Aromatic Orange and Evergreen is the new scent from Yankee Candle’s Christmas 2017collection.
Yankee Candle Aromatic Orange and Evergreen is getting some bad reviews within the online wax community and I only got a votive and a wax tart in this scent.
I was expecting a blend of spice, orange and pine with a masculine woody cologne undertone.
Burning and melting Yankee Candle Aromatic Orange and Evergreen, I smell an odd take on classic pine note. There is a woody undertone but it smells more like old pine cones than the fresh pine tree I expected. It has almost a musky quality that should be freshened up by the orange notes but I can’t smell the orange notes.
I also can’t really smell any spice. I guess there’s a faint clove note but it gets quite lost in the woody pine base. The fruit note here is not an orange but an odd apple scent. It’s not fresh apple and it’s not candy apple. Mostly I think of dried apples when I smell this which sort of fits with the old pine cone base, but doesn’t make a great overall fragrance.
Overall, this candle really needs that spiced orange note. I layered it with Yankee Candle Spiced Orange and it was great, but to fair, it pretty much drowned out Aromatic Orange and Evergreen so I gave up on that one and just ended up layering Spiced Orange with a votive of Yankee Candle Christmas Tree and I got expactly what I expected from the Aromatic Orange and Evergreen.
Also something to keep in mind; while I did not try a jar candle in this scent, there are quite a lot of reviews out there that comment on how light of a scent this is in candle form.
I hope you enjoyed my Yankee Candle Aromatic Orange and Evergreen review.
