What I’m Burning Now August 2015

This is my What I’m Burning Now August 2015 post.

The What I’m Burning Now videos are one of my favorite candle related things to watch on Youtube. Today, I’ve been going through my candle collection, pulling out my September scents and playing around with different combinations and I figured that since I’m finishing my August scents I could just do a post on them. I’ll link candle names to the reiews.

So here’s what my house smelled like in August:

In my kitchen, I always have about five or six jars out and I usually burn three scents a day. I burn one in the morning, switch to a second one after the kids finish their lunch, and I burn the third one, that is usually a bakery scent in the evening. I only burn or melt fruit and food scents in the kitchen.

This month, I burned Yankee Candle Pink Dragon Fruit which was scent of the month for July and I got a large jar of it. This was an after lunch scent and I really enjoyed it.

I also burned a large jar of Yankee Candle Pineapple Cilantro. That was the scent of the month for August and I got this in a large jar as well. I usually get large jars if they’re 25% off if I’ve tried the fragrance before and know I’ll like it.

I melted 6 tarts in Yankee Candle Mango Peach Salsa. I like the fragrance but the candles don’t have a good throw, so I melt it and it’s great.

For the evenings, I had a large jar of Yankee Candle Blueberry Scone, which is currently available all over the place as a treasure. It’s an old favorite and I have bought a backup of it.

Also for the evenings, my all time favorite, Village Candle Lemon Pound Cake in the large jar. I’ve gone through 5 jars of this scent and I’ll keep buying it until I can’t.

My morning kitchen candles were Village Candle Tea Time and Village Candle Maple Butter. I’ll repurchase both.

My husband’s and my offices were a major testing ground this month, I’ve hauled a lot of new stuff and when I get a new scent I need to test burn/melt it right away, so I basically had a new scent every day in those two rooms. They’re on a separate floor so they work great as test labs since the smells from the rest of the house don’t reach them.

In my main haul I usually stick to strong fresh and floral scents. In the afternoons, I melted a votive in Yankee Candle Midnight Jasmine, several votives in Yankee Candle Beach Flowers. I melted 8 votives in Yankee Candle Lake Sunset during the evenings.
