This is my pick of Best Scented Candles to give as gifts for Women 2019.
I love giving Scented Candles as cute and useful gifts. There are a few foolproof scented candles that you can get a small jar of and even if you don’t know the person and their scent preferences well, the Yankee Candles I list below make great gifts because the listed scents are generally loved. I picked all Yankees because they are easy to get and a generally well-known brand, so if you give one a non candle enthusiast, they’ll still know it’s a decent product and not something you picked up at the gas station on the way.
Once I know what the person really likes, I buy medium or large jars just because they are considered a high-end item but I keep a decent stock of the small jars on hand for all those times I’m too busy to go shopping or lack ideas for gifts.

Yankee Candle Pink Grapefruit Review
It took me a long time to try out Yankee Candle Pink Grapefruit because my Yankee Candle store is constantly sold out so I guess it’s very popular around here. I finally got my hands on a small jar and I can see why it’s sold out all the time. Yankee Candle Pink Grapefruit is amazing! It smells fresh, summery, zesty, there’s a bit of sugar in there and it’s the ideal scent to pack into your bag when going on summer holiday.
Scent notes for Yankee Candle Pink Grapefruit are: grapefruit, citrus
I mostly get the grapefruit with a citrus – orange and lemon -kick. There are some sugar notes in it. Not a lot…it’s like a low sugared lemonade with a lot of grapefruit.
This is my new morning and kitchen candle and I’ve been burning it a lot.
For me, this is definitely one to stock up on if I can find it locally.
Yankee Candle Pink Sands Review
Yankee Candle Pink Sands scented candle is one of the classic Yankee Candle scented candles that are generally well loved.
Yankee Candle Pink Sands scented candle notes are: citrus, sweet florals, vanilla
Yankee Candle Pink Sands scented candle is a very strong sweet citrus with a lot of floral scent. It’s good for spring, the vanilla is practically not there but it’s not a light scent at all. You’ll definitely smell it and it’s a very distinct scent. It’s not my staple scented candle because it’s so strong but when I do burn it, it’s in the spring evenings. It’s too strong for me to burn it when it’s hot out so I don’t like it as a summer scented candle, but for spring, when you need a fresh and sweet scent that warms you up a bit, this is the one.
Yankee Candle Pink Sands works great as a gift scented candle for women due to the mass appeal of the scent and because it looks so pretty but I wouldn’t give to a man unless I knew he loved sweet and strong scented candles (and I know none who do).
I would burn this scented candle in the hall or the living room and mostly in the evenings.
Yankee Candle Soft Blanket Review
The official Yankee Candle Soft Blanket scented candle notes are sweet citrus, vanilla, and warm amber.
Yankee Candle Soft Blanket scented candle is a typical bedroom or living room scented candle. It’s neutral enough to be generally liked by all. Yankee Candle Soft Blanket is just your staple warm, clean, laundry type scent.
Personally, I only like laundry scents when it’s a high-end detergent scent. Yankee Candle Soft Blanket though gives me a generic warm fabric softener scent, like laundry when you’re taking it out of the dryer but that it was washed with a generic detergent and too much fabric softener. I’m very very picky about my laundry detergent scents because I’m a huge perfume wearer and I hate if my clothes carry detergent smell that then blends with my perfume. So I need my clothes to smell clean but as neutral as possible. Yankee Candle Soft Blanket scented candle has too much amber to be that neutral and you’ll definitely smell it when you burn it.
It’s not for me because I find it has so many bits of different things and the final scent is just a blend of too many scents but I give small jars of this scented candle as Christmas and New Year gifts and they are always extremely well received.
Yankee Candle Fluffy Towels Review
Yankee Candle Fluffy Towels is one of the Yankee scents I like on cold sniff but I almost never burn it. I’ve had my medium jar of Fluffy Towels for a few years and I think I’ve only burned it about four or five times.
The official notes in Yankee Candle Fluffy Towels are: clean towels warm from the dryer with notes of lemon, apple, lavender, and lily.
This is a fresh laundry scent, similar to Clean Cotton but if clean cotton is laundry detergent with a bit of fabric softener, then Fluffy Towels is fabric softener with a bit of laundry detergent. It’s very soapy so I can’t say I can pick up any specific notes in it except maybe the soapy lemon note.
It smells clean, like you’re washing your clothes and went overboard with your softener. Of the two, I prefer Clean Cotton because I find it crisper.
I’ve burned my medium jar of Fluffy Towels in my garage and the bathrooms. I find it too soapy for the main living area. I get a nice wax pool in my medium jar after about two hours and the throw is about 7. The smell fills my bathroom in about half an hour.
Village Candle Blueberry Muffin Review
The Village Candle Blueberry Muffin is one of those scented candles I kept hearing about but for some reason, I thought I’ll only be able to find Village Candles online so I sort of put them out of my mind and off my wish list. But surprisingly I actually found a local store that carries some Village Candle scented candles so I went and gave them a sniff and Village Candle Blueberry Muffin came home with me.
I bought Village Candle Blueberry Muffin in a small jar. It has a single wick and gorgeous blueberry colored wax. I figured if I really fell in love with this scent I can always pick up a large jar later. I’ve never tried any blueberry scented candles before so I have nothing to compare this to, but I’m in love with the Village Candle Blueberry Muffin scent.
It’s a definite bakery scent. It’s very sweet and buttery and I get a lot of brown sugar, warm blueberries, butter, and cream. I get a little vanilla as well and a strong “out of the hot oven” bakery note. It’s such a fun and delicious scent.
I did my research online before I burned this candle and I read that Village Candle sometimes have wick issues so to avoid drowning or puny wicks I didn’t trim the wicks at all and got a nice even burn. I got a good wax pool in about an hour and I would say the throw is medium which is great for a small jar. My kitchen got scented in about half an hour and I burn it mostly around tea time and after supper.
Yankee Candle Summer Scoop Review
I had a medium one wick classic jar of Yankee Candle Summer Scoop that I bought at the beginning of the summer and after a couple of burns it migrated over to my SIL’s house because she loved it so much she raved about the scent every time she came over and I had this candle burning. So I ended up giving my jar to her. I liked the smell, it’s yummy but I already have so many kitchen candles out and I alternate them all the time so I figured I can miss my Summer Scoop.
Yankee Candle Summer Scoop scented candle was released as a part of a Summer collection together with Pineapple Cilantro, Honey Blossom and Fireside Treats.
The official scent notes for Yankee Candle Summer Scoop are: homemade strawberry ice cream.
I get pure quality strawberry ice cream. There are the sweet strawberry scent and the creaminess of the milk ice cream. It’s not a watery scent like some of the more sherbet type of strawberry ice creams but a very rich and creamy version.
My medium sized jar burned with no issues in my jar candle holder from Ikea that is my kitchen staple. I got a nice wax pool in about an hour and a half. The scent throw was a solid 5.
