6 Best Blueberry scented candles
This is my Goose Creek Candle Pumpkin Centerpiece Blueberry Pumpkin scented candle Review.
Goose Creek Candle have these amazing pumpkin shaped centerpiece candles that my ex-boss buys every year and then taunts me with their awesomeness.
They’re amazing looking, especially the Goose Creek Candle Pumpkin Centerpiece Blueberry Pumpkin one with the amazing dark blue wax. I’ve smelled the ones they had out last year and there are some added new scents available in this for this year. The scents are good, a bit different than your standard Yankee Candle pumpkin and fall scents in the sense that they are a bit heavier and darker overall.
I prefer the Yankee and Village Candle fall scents in general but if I had a decent postage option, I’d buy every single one of these Pumpkin Centerpieces for the looks and impact. Sadly, there are absolutely no acceptable postage options for me and these things are huge so I can’t exactly ask my friend to pop them in her suitcase the next time she in the US. So, no Pumpkin Centerpieces for me. I’ll just have to invite myself over to my ex-boss’ house more often. He’s already said he’ll get a whole batch of them this year so at least I’ll get to see and smell them in person. They’re on sale right now so I figured I’d write reviews of the ones I got to smell last year and are still available.

Goose Creek Candle Pumpkin Centerpiece candle has 70 oz, comes in a clear, glass pumpkin shaped container with a lid and has four cotton wicks. You get a nice wax pool in about two hours due to all the wicks. The burn is clean and even but about halfway through the candle the wicks started to drown a bit so taking out a bit of wax was necessary and it was fine after that.
Goose Creek Candle Pumpkin Centerpiece Blueberry Pumpkin official scent notes are: pumpkin, fresh blueberry, sweet raspberry and crisp apple, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, cocoa, vanilla, sweet sandalwood, and musk.
The scent description is very complex, there are a whole lot of scent notes but I can’t smell half of them when this is burning. I get the blueberry, pumpkin spice and cinnamon, a tiny bit of sandalwood and slight musk. It’s mostly a spiced blueberry scent with a bit of sandalwood and musk to make it warmer, a little bit heavier and autumn like.
The scent throw of Goose Creek Candle Pumpkin Centerpiece Blueberry Pumpkin is a strong 8. It scented a large living room.
The company says the burn time on these is up to 300 hours but my friend says he got only about 150 hours out of his pumpkin which makes sense with all the wicks.
I got a few of the new Goose Creek candles from their Cupcake Collection and this is my favorite of the lot.

The official scent notes in Goose Creek Lemon Blueberry Cupcake are: fresh from the oven blend of zesty lemon and fresh blueberries combined with whipped cream and warm vanilla.
This smells like a basic vanilla cake, layered with a lemon and berry mix note. It’s very true to how it’s supposed to smell like. It’s fruity, sweet and the cake note is very nice, it’s not just vanilla but an actual bakery note.
It’s a very good one to pick if you only want to get one from the Cupcake collection. I’ve burned it about 4 times now and the burn performance is great, the wax pools out evenly in about an hour and a half and the scent throw is a solid 7, good enough for a medium-sized room.
I’ve mixed this with Goose Creek Blueberry Lemonade and it was very nice but my favorite mix was with both Yankee Candle Blueberry Scone and Village Candle Lemon Pound Cake. It was just the best, most delicious lemon and blueberry cake scent you can imagine.
Goose Creek Candle have all their new Fall 2016 scents in large jars on sale so if you feel like picking some up, now is the time. They also sell votives now, which is great for those of us who want to try a scent before committing to a full jar candle.

The official scent notes in Goose Creek Candles Blueberry Vanilla are: blueberry, vanilla sugar, vanilla bean, amber
I actually get all the notes that are listed on the website. The blueberry note is actually a blueberry syrup type of scent. Very sugary but still a distinct blueberry. The rest of the notes are hanging in the background and I get the creamy vanilla, more sugar and the warmth that comes from a bit of amber.
It’s a good scent for all berry lovers, it would work well layered with either a bakery fragrance or even a fall spice fragrance if the amber in here isn’t autumnal enough for your nose.
I’m not a big fan of berry scents but I do love lemonade and this Blueberry Limeade is so delicious, sweet and lemony and the berry note just makes it more interesting and fun.

The official scent notes in Goose Creek Candles Blueberry Limeade are: sweet lime, lemon, blueberry and strawberry, sugar and vanilla.
It smells like super sweet lemonade with a berry mix undertone. The berry note leans to the artificial side, like berry candy or berry flavored chewing gum. It’s not the best berry note I’ve smelled but together with the dominating sweet lemonade, it’s a really lovely fragrance.
The scent throw on the large jar is a medium 8 and since these are two wick candles it burns fast and you get the full force of the scent in about 45 minutes.
Some people might feel like the berry note doesn’t make enough of an impact and in that case, pair it with Yankee Candle’s Berrylicious.
Goose Creek Candles Blueberry Cheesecake was a gamble. I didn’t actually expect a cheesecake note since it’s notoriously hard to do and it most often comes over as slightly sour milk. I hope I’ll get a blueberry and vanilla sugar frosting type of scent but what I did get was basically a dupe for Yankee Candle Berrylicious.
The official scent notes in Goose Creek Candles Blueberry Cheesecake are juicy blueberry compote, creamy and rich homemade cheesecake.
I smell blueberries. That’s about it. There’s some sugar added to it but not enough to go into the marmalade or preserve territory. It’s a pure fruit scent for me. I don’t know where the cheesecake note disappeared to, but I can’t smell it at all.
The scent throw on one piece of wax melt was a solid 7 and it scented my medium sized kitchen in 15 minutes. The smell lingered for quite a while but by comparison, the smell from a third of my Yankee Candle Berrylicious tart lingered for 8 hours.
I’d melt or burn this in the spring or summer in between breakfast and lunch in the kitchen.
Yankee Candle Blueberry is an oldie but it now available in large jars as a Treasure. It’s one of those scents that is a bit too straight up one note for me, I had tarts in this scent years ago and was never tempted to get a large jar. I like blueberry bakery scents like Blueberry Scone or Blueberry Muffin, but the solo Blueberry falls a bit flat for me.

The official notes in Yankee Candle Blueberry are : blueberry.
Melting a half a tart of Yankee Candle Blueberry, I get a relatively true to life blueberry. It’s not sweetened, there’s no candy note which I really appreciate. To me, fresh blueberries don’t have that great of a scent, it develops when you either mush them or warm them up. This is kind of squashed super ripe blueberry. I don’t have any more tarts in this scent but if I did I would melt them together with either Yankee Candle Christmas Cookie or Village Candle Lemon Pound Cake to get the bakery notes I like with the blueberry.
The scent throw on half a tart was a 6 which is low for a tart, usually, I get 7 or 8 from Yankee Candle tarts, but it was enough for my kitchen seating area.
It’s a kitchen day or morning candle for me, I don’t like fruit scents all over the house but they do make the kitchen smell fresh.
Yankee Candle Blueberry Scone is in online EU Yankee stores right now as a Treasure or rather a Yankee Candle Special Appearance candle which means it’s only available in a large jar. I was all out of large jar scented candles and I felt like splurging so I hauled a lot of the special appearance candles and I’ve been burning Blueberry Scone in my kitchen all day today. I’ve heard nothing but raves about this candle and I must say I’m a big fan as well.
When it comes to the scent of fresh blueberries I can take it or leave it, to be honest, but mix them up with butter, sugar and vanilla and I’m in love. I normally bake blueberry scones or muffins at least once a week, we love them that much. During the blueberry season I pack the kids up, spray us with anti-tick bug spray within an inch of our life, coax the dogs into the car, throw in a backpack stuffed with sandwiches, water, and baby wipes and we’re off to the forest on a blueberry picking mission. We do that at least 10 times per season and we end up with a freezer shelf full of fresh picked blueberries that later transform into yummy scones and muffins.
The official notes in Yankee Candle Blueberry Scone are: English quickbread with sweet blueberries, rich cream and a hint of vanilla.
I get amazingly true to life fresh baked blueberry scones, topped with whipped cream. First I get a lot of warm blueberries, followed by a sugar note. All that is underlined by a butter scent and a very nice bakery smell. And then, there’s also the whipped cream scent that rounds up this yummy and realistic fragrance.
I’ve been burning Yankee Candle Blueberry Scone in a large jar in my hurricane holder and it burned with no issues. The scent throw was a solid 8. I burned it in my kitchen and got a nice wax pool after about three hours. The kitchen got filled with scent in about half an hour and after I let the doors open I could smell the candle all over my living room as well. I would definitely buy this again and since I noticed they seem to be selling out pretty fast I might order a couple soon.
